Introducing 4LP Silk: Silk Clothes for Women, Made With the Same Heart

Silk has a way of catching the light without asking for attention. It moves when you move, settles when you stop, and feels cool and smooth from the first moment you put it on. We have spent years with a fiber known for its warmth, and silk has always felt like its natural companion.

Today we're introducing 4LP Silk, a new collection of silk clothes for women from 4 Loving People. It's a natural evolution of the philosophy behind our cashmere, made with the same care and the same principles that have guided us from the start. You can explore the new 4LP silk collection now, or stay with us for the story behind it.

Below, we share where the silk comes from, what the 12 pieces include, how silk and cashmere share one wardrobe, and how to care for silk so it stays beautiful.

A Second Fiber, the Same Values

4LP Silk extends what we make, not what we stand for.

We have always chosen our fiber for how it feels years from now, not only on the first day. Anyone who knows where our cashmere comes from will recognize the thinking. Silk earned its place the same way. It is light in the hand, it drapes with real grace, and its quiet sheen looks as right at a long lunch as it does at dinner.

The fabric may be different, but our commitment remains unchanged. The same values of excellence, respect, trust and integrity that shape our cashmere are woven into every silk garment we make. Cashmere stays at the heart of what we do, and silk opens a new chapter beside it, chosen with the same care.

Ethically Made in Brazil

Brazil has a long silk tradition, one of the few outside Asia, much of it kept alive by family farms in the state of Paraná. Silkworms there are raised on mulberry leaves and tend through every stage until their cocoons are ready. It is patient work, and it shows in the fabric.

Every piece is ethically manufactured in Brazil, using silk from a socially responsible Brazilian producer.

Our partner is part of that story: a socially responsible Brazilian producer that shares our commitment to quality, human dignity and environmental stewardship. They have put systems in place for the responsible use of energy and for wastewater treatment, and they keep refining their production to reduce its environmental impact. It's careful, unglamorous work, and exactly the kind we want behind every garment.

Our co-founder, Anna Blumenfeld, describes why it matters to us.

“From the beginning, our vision has been to create beautiful garments without compromising our values. As we expand into silk, we remain committed to the same principles that have always guided 4 Loving People: exceptional quality, respect for people, and responsibility toward the world around us. By partnering with a Brazilian silk producer that invests in energy efficiency, wastewater treatment, and the continuous reduction of environmental impact, we are helping support a more sustainable future for luxury fashion. True luxury should feel as good in conscience as it does in hand.”

It is a standard we hold the whole collection to, from the first cocoon to the final seam.

Inside the Collection: Silk Clothes for Women in 12 Pieces

4LP Silk launches with 12 pieces across shirts, tops, pants and jumpsuits, all gathered on one collection page.

We kept this first collection of silk clothes for women focused. Twelve pieces is enough to build a week of outfits, and few enough that each one has room to matter.

At its center is the Atalia silk shirt for women, easy to tuck, easy to leave loose, and polished without trying too hard. Around it sit tops, pants and jumpsuits like the Embau Silk Jumpsuit, each cut to let the fabric's fluid drape do most of the work. The best silk shirt, in our view, is the one you reach for without thinking.

What makes a luxury silk shirt worth keeping is rarely the label alone. Look at how the fabric falls from the shoulders, how flat the seams lie, and how the collar holds its shape at the end of a long day. If a 100% silk top is what you have in mind, read the fiber content first, the same habit we suggest for telling real cashmere apart.

What Silk Gives That Cashmere Does Not

Silk brings sheen, drape and a cool, smooth feel, while cashmere brings softness and quiet warmth.

Silk is a natural protein fiber spun by the silkworm, and its origin shows in how it behaves. It's light and breathable, and it feels smooth against the skin, which helps you stay cool as the day warms up. Its sheen catches the light softly, without ever looking glossy.

Cashmere works differently. It brings loft and a gentle warmth that settles around you. One fiber drapes while the other holds, one reflects light while the other softens it, and that contrast is what makes them such easy partners.

Silk has dressed people for centuries, and in far more than shirts. Clothes made of silk range from blouses and camisoles to slips, scarves and silk night clothes, because the fabric is gentle on the skin and comfortable from morning to night. The trade-off is that silk asks for a little more care, which we cover below.

How Silk and Cashmere Work Together in One Wardrobe

Wear silk closest to the skin and cashmere over it, and the pairing carries you from warm afternoons into cool evenings.

The simplest pairing is also the most useful: a silk shirt under a fine cashmere crewneck, collar out and cuffs turned back once over the knit. A women's silk top under an open cardigan works the same way, and it's an easy answer for offices that run cold. On weekends, a silk shirt with denim and a cashmere cardigan is about as relaxed as silk gets.

Silk pants bring movement to a cashmere sweater, balancing the softness of the knit with fluid drape below. A jumpsuit needs little more than a light cashmere layer over the shoulders once the evening cools. In warmer months, silk can stand on its own, with our lightweight tops in cashmere ready for when the light fades.

As the weather turns, our women's cashmere cardigans and sweaters sit easily over silk. Building a wardrobe of silk clothes for women alongside cashmere follows the rule we already live by: fewer pieces, chosen well, worn often.

Your First Piece of 4LP Silk

Silk and cashmere ask the same things of us: choose well, care gently, and keep what you love.

Whatever the fabric, every piece from 4 Loving People is made with respect for the people and processes behind it, and designed to be cherished for years to come. This first chapter of silk clothes for women is small, considered and ready to wear.
